Restaurant zur Schortemuhle in Ilmenau

That was an absolutely successful premiere. Everything perfect, the food excellent, bruschetta, pizza and pasta, the service very friendly, very nicely decorated inside and out. Price / performance top! Outside, the very nice looking chairs are unfortunately quite uncomfortable in the backrest area because somehow a crossbar pressed against me - but maybe that's on my back ... :-) we will definitely come back. Addendum October 2020 Also the second and third time everything was great. Very good quality, tasty and visually well presented. We'll come back at the next opportunity, that's for sure.

Unfortunately not recommended! The pictures of the restaurant on the Internet moved us to drive an hour to the Schortemühle to be able to apparently enjoy the beautiful ambience. Unfortunately, everything else was not recommended. Hectic service, long waiting times, lukewarm dishes. Not appropriate for the price.

Great ambience and romantic location. The food tastes good. Why I don't give 5 stars but only 4 stars for the "Schortemühle" is because I think that the drink prices are quite high for Ilmenauer standards. In addition, certain employees seemed a bit stressed and overloaded during our visits, which unfortunately you also notice as a customer.

The service was very good. Their dishes were well presented and tasted very good. The dessert and mocha were excellent; and the wine was excellent too. The price was reasonable. We would like to come back and can recommend the restaurant

Quality that is hard to find today. Seldom eaten so well. Even when setting up everything was taken care of. Top and worth every penny.

Have been to friends and were invited to the Schortemühle. The interior and exterior furnishings are extravagant and very inviting. The food was awesome! We immediately booked for the following evening! Both the Italian and German dishes were excellent! You can taste that everything is homemade! We were very enthusiastic! Absolute recommendation! Price-performance absolutely justified. Definitely coming back next time. Unfortunately, with over 300 kilometers, quite a long way from home ;-)

It's very beautiful there. The prices are okay. The food is very good. I can especially recommend the tomato soup as a starter.

Very delicious food, mostly Italian, cozy, stylish furnishings ... clear menu, friendly and very beautifully located in the forest (Schortetal). However, for September and the outside temperature in the evening, it is quite cool inside. The beautiful fireplace should be kindled slowly .

Great excursion restaurant, very good food and friendly service. However, it was only 4 stars, as we were charged 2 euros for burnt pizza base corners when we asked for bread for 2 pasta dishes ... because bread should be served to your guests when pasta dishes are ordered. Really sad, but we'll be back in the hope that the landlord might be a little more generous.

Nice staff friendly tidy 😊 the food hmm don't know exactly whether the tortellini were homemade the sauce was slightly over-salted. Unfortunately no response to it.

They get four stars for the pizzas, but miss one because of the prices for drinks. It's way to high, especially in this region.

As italian born girl, one of the best Spaghetti and Pizza in Germany. The chef is italian and he knows it...yet he's humble and nice. I suggest everyone to take a little stop and enjoy!
